Tereza Urbankova

I am originally from the Czech Republic and bring over 25 years of experience as a senior PR and communications professional within multinational organizations. I relocated to the UK in 2006 to advance my career, and after 12 years there, I moved to Germany. I now serve as Senior Manager of Global Media Relations at Boehringer Ingelheim.

I am a member of the Board of the European Association of Communications Directors as well as the German American and International Women’s Club. Trained as a linguist, I hold a master’s degree in English and Spanish. In 2025, I began studying for a master’s degree in psychology to further broaden my professional perspective.

I joined the EWMD International Board as Communications Director because I am passionate about amplifying women’s voices and strengthening inclusive leadership across industries and cultures. With my background in global communications, I’m keen to help elevate EWMD’s visibility, tell compelling stories, and connect our diverse network more effectively - ensuring our impact continues to grow across Europe and beyond.

In my free time, I enjoy traveling, reading and immersing myself in culture - whether through cinema, theater, galleries, or museums - as well as staying active by regularly going to the gym, skiing, running and tap dancing.
